How to Get Clients Without Posting on Instagram Every Day

Let’s be real, Instagram used to feel fun but lately it feels like a full-time job on top of the whole business you’re trying to grow.

If you’re a service provider, you’ve probably heard some version of “just show up every day and give value.” And maybe you did. For months. Maybe years. But between chasing trends, fighting shadowbans, and trying to be both CEO and content machine, you’re exhausted.

Here’s the good news: you don’t need to post every day to get clients. You can absolutely build a system that works without your constant presence.

What if your content kept working after you hit publish?

That’s what blogging (paired with a solid SEO strategy) actually does.

Instead of disappearing after 24 hours (looking at you, Stories), your blog post can:

  • Show up in search when someone types a question you answer

  • Get linked by other sites and drive referral traffic

  • Be repurposed into newsletters, guides, freebies, or social posts (if you want)

Instead of finding trendy new ways that make people stop scrolling, you can instead focus on creating content your future clients are already looking for, then showing up to meet them there.

Here’s how I recommend starting:

Start with the question your client is Googling
Here are some common ones

  • “How do I know when it’s time to rebrand?”

  • “What should I include in a client onboarding process?”

  • “How do I price my services when I’m just starting out?”

Answer that. On your blog. In your voice and your style and your sense of humor.

Think of your blog as a library, not a feed

This isn’t social media. You’re not trying to be fresh every day. You’re building an archive of trust. A place your dream clients can binge and say “Holy shit, where has this person been?”

Treat your posts like little salespeople

People often start writing for traffic but then stop there. Make sure every point gives your reader some way to connect with you for more. Every post should do one of the following:

– Get someone on your list
– Book a discovery call
– Show your process
– Build trust with people who aren’t ready yet

But Bex, doesn’t blogging take forever to work?

Yes, it takes time. But so does Instagram. The difference is that your blog post doesn’t vanish in a day. It continues to gain in value over time. Which is the exact opposite of social platforms.

Most service providers who stick with SEO and blogging start seeing results in 3 months. Not instant, but steady. Think about if you started this 3 months ago? Think about how many months you’ve plodded away at social.
