Stop sweating under a ring light
You have expertise. You have offers people genuinely need. You may even have a notebook full of ideas you want to write about.
But marketing keeps asking you to make yourself the product.
Meta wants you to turn that into a fifteen-second video, today, and again tomorrow, and again the day after. The algorithm rewards frequency and presence, and your energy can be better spent elsewhere.
That works brilliantly for some people. It can feel exhausting for everyone else.
Especially when you have a business to run. Clients to serve. A body and brain with their own needs. A week where being perceived by the internet is simply not on the agenda.
You do not need another content plan built around performing on demand.
Doors are open until 1 October.
For business owners who are done churning out social content.
Writing Rituals
Writing Rituals is the seasonal blogging and SEO membership for self-employed business owners who want to build evergreen content that brings the right readers to your work, even during the weeks when your energy needs to go elsewhere.
Create a library that gets discovered wherever people search.
Build something people find on repeat.
Your blog can become a body of work that keeps introducing the right people to your expertise.
Writing Rituals teaches you how to create strategic, evergreen content based on what people are already searching for.
That means your marketing can keep working for you while you are:
This is for the business owner who…
Has plenty to say once someone gets them talking, but finds short-form content strangely restrictive.
Want search strategy explained by someone who works in SEO, without being buried under jargon or generic checklists
Are building a business around a life with ADHD, chronic illness, brain fog, care responsibilities, or fluctuating capacity
Would rather write one thoughtful piece than perform online every day.
Want to use your expertise to generate recurring traffic, enquiries, bookings, affiliate income, or product sales
Has tried the SEO checklists and still doesn't feel confident about what to write.
Wants leads and bookings without making social media the centre of the business.
Knows blogging could be a serious visibility channel, but wants someone who understands the search side of it to guide the strategy.
If you're established enough to know what you sell and you're ready for your content to start pulling its weight, you're in the right place.
Welcome to your blogging era.
Writing Rituals is a rolling membership for founders, solopreneurs, and creative business owners who want search visibility without building their whole business around social media visibility.
Each quarter opens a new season. We gather around one strategic focus, learn what matters, make decisions that fit your business, and turn the work into published content and a practical plan.
Between seasons there’s support, office-hours, and writing rituals to keep you producing amazing content waiting to be discovered.
Autumn 2026
The 2027 Content Calendar
We're starting by planning the year ahead.
Over six live lessons, we'll build the strategy behind your 2027 content so you're not staring at a blank document wondering what the hell you're supposed to write about.
The content journey
Map your content to the buyer journey and understand what someone needs when they arrive from search.
Search visibility
Understand Google SEO and AI search, how people search, and what is changing about the way content gets discovered.
Trends and topic research
Use Google Trends, audience conversations, Substack engagement and social signals to find topics worth writing about throughout the year.
What gets recommended
Learn what Google values, what AI tools surface and how to create content that can be discovered across both.
Writing
Get practical writing guidance and templates for turning your expertise into useful, search-friendly content.
The 2027 plan
Turn everything you've learned into a working content calendar for the year ahead, including opportunities to collaborate with other blogs and creators.
What happens inside the ritual
This is a working membership. You will have strategy, feedback, room to write, and a community that understands why long-form work matters.
Seasonal live teaching
Six live lessons each season, recorded into a growing library you can revisit while your membership is active. The first season is intentionally front-loaded, so you can build momentum quickly.
Personal blog reviews
Receive up to two blog reviews per month. Bring the draft, the existing post, the topic idea, or the page that is nearly there and needs a strategic pair of eyes.
Monthly office hours
One spacious monthly Q&A where you can ask about your business, your content, your visibility, and your next move. We open with a tarot pull because strategy can be practical and a little bit magical.
Twice-weekly co-working
Two co-working sessions each week, with one time chosen for Europe and one for North America. Come with a post to finish, a plan to make, or a browser tab situation that needs resolving.
New moon and full moon writing rituals
Gentle collective moments to begin, review, release, and return to your writing practice.
Monthly Field Notes
A clear report from the workbench: what I am testing in live SEO work, what has changed, what is worth paying attention to, and what did not deliver the result I expected.
Expert review and peer support
Share drafts, ask for feedback, find collaboration opportunities, and meet fellow business owners who believe in building a body of work rather than chasing the next content format.
Ongoing support for your growth
Members receive priority access or a member rate for 1:1 SEO support when they want deeper, business-specific guidance.
The strategy behind the writing
Most blogging communities give you coworking space.
Writing Rituals comes with the search strategy behind what you write, and a system that flexes with the focus and energy you have on any given week.
The foundation is
demand-first blogging.
Instead of beginning with whatever content format is making noise online, we begin with the questions, needs, and decisions your future clients are already bringing to search. Then we make content that answers them with your actual expertise, perspective, and offers in mind.
Your guide
Led by Bex
I have spent more than 15 years helping people and organizations get found online.
My work has included agency, in-house, and enterprise SEO, along with global web strategy for leading international brands. I have also taught more than 1 million learners through the UC Davis SEO and Content Marketing course on Coursera.
I bring search strategy together with psychology, conversion thinking, and clear writing because a ranking is only useful when the reader knows what to do next.
Inside Writing Rituals, you get the perspective of a working SEO practitioner who is paying attention to what is changing in search, AI discovery, and audience behavior in real time.
You do not need to become an SEO specialist.
This doesn't teach you how to be an SEO, but it gives you the confidence to produce content that gets found.
A small gut check
Writing Rituals will be most useful when you have a business, offer, or area of expertise you are ready to support with content.
It may not be the right room for you right now if:
You are still deciding what your business does or who you want to serve
You want a fully outsourced content service rather than strategic teaching, feedback, and implementation support
You are looking for an AI-writing workshop or a bank of prompt templates
You need guaranteed rankings, traffic, or sales by a particular date
You only want social-media tactics and do not want to create long-form content
You do not have the space to write, test, or apply what you learn over the season
Note that with blogging, you do not need perfect consistency, just a willingness to make useful work and let it accumulate.
